Why Scarlett was the Happiest Little Girl in the World Last Christmas

If you think Scarlett looks happy in this photo, you should’ve seen her last Christmas when she received her letter from Santa Claus. She was beside herself with joy – she had just received a letter from Santa especially to her all the way from the North Pole. That was pretty special. She spent all day feeling the kind of joy we no longer experience as grown ups.
It was the cheapest present she got all day and as far as she was concerned it was the only one she got all day. As soon as she opened that letter she forgot about all of the toys and clothes she was given (we all forget about the clothes we’re given for Christmas). She had a letter form Santa and to her that was so special she carried it around all day and showed everyone she saw (many times).
It took a week before she stopped carrying it around everywhere and let my wife put it on the front of the fridge. It’s still on the fridge 11 months later.

I had no idea this kind of thing existed. A buddy of mine told me that he organised a letter from Santa for his little boy Ralph the previous year and it was a big hit. So I thought I would organise one for Scarlett – talk about easy.

For the past 3 weeks, ever since she heard my wife and her sister discussing family arrangements for Christmas, she has been reminding me to make sure Santa knows how good she’s been this year. I’m just glad it’s so easy to organise, and cheap compared to every other present she’s going to get.
